How is it August tomorrow? A bittersweet quarter two here at Park Towers with plenty of changes and exciting things in the making.
April and May were filled with many educational events attended by our team at Le Rocquier, Highlands College and Skills Jersey with the hope and aim of helping the future generations to shape their careers.
Gemma and I also had the absolute pleasure of launching Park’s new event series: Conversational and Coffee Insights. We kicked it off with the hot topic ‘The Demand List’ where we shared key insights and case studies of the current market conditions and what it really means to be a candidate in 2024 (and wow, how the market has shifted since I began my career in recruitment!). Up next is Toni and I talking ‘All things Trainee’ and sharing real-life data on the ‘new’ generation, their aspirations and life objectives, and what they really think of a career in Financial Services. The data speaks for itself… scary in a way… however it’s a true reflection of the fast-changing world, new technologies, and opportunities available.
Another exciting project is close to being completed and I cannot wait to see the final product and launch it to all our fab clients! Watch this space 👀
Q2 also marked Gemma’s departure from Park after 14 years. For anyone that knows Gemma, I’m sure they will agree with me when I say that Gemma is THE recruitment Legend (AKA the most fashionable recruiter in Jersey and further afield). Gemma will be deeply missed by the Park gang and all her candidates and clients. Miss you already!
On another note, we have had a new Manager join us at Park. Ryan joins us with a wealth of Recruitment experience both in-agency and in-house and will support Park with its exciting plans ahead. Welcome aboard Ryan!
As Park embarks on a new chapter, we are also looking for a driven, creative and outgoing individual with a dash of personality to join our fab team! If this could be you, drop me a message for further details 😉
All in all, it’s been a great quarter with plenty of laughs, fun and finding people their happy places.
