I recently read an interesting article in CIPD's People Management presenting data from a survey reporting "Gen Z and millennials are driving demand for health and wellbeing policies".
The report reviewed two surveys by Simply Health in which 78 % of employees aged 18 to 34 said having health cover is what attracts them to stay at their company! Overall, it confirmed that this was driving demand for more health support at work.
These are trends we see mirrored in the local market. Our recent "job seeking survey" confirmed that 21% of respondents felt that healthcare was the most important factor when considering a new role.
Healthcare can often come as part of a standard benefits package with many of the employers we work with but the expectation for much more in the way of wellbeing is also increasing.
What is important to you?
