Greetings from Park

Can you believe it’s Christmas already? We can’t. It’s been a very busy time for us over the last couple of months, so we thought we’d share with you what we’ve been up to and the exciting things that are coming up.

The Park Team

We have been delighted to see our team grow and would like to introduce Chiara and Jessica to our consulting team. We’d also like to welcome April who looks after our reception as well as being the first friendly face you meet when you come into Park, dealing with all our enquiries.

We have also seen Gemma move into a Director role and Megan move into a support position offering valuable analytical and technical support to the Consultants.

As well as all these exciting changes we are on the lookout for a “Digital Guru” to join our team here at Park. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual who is currently working within IT/digital marketing, sales, HR, design or relationship management. You need to be passionate about the digital industry, and able to prove that to us. Please do get in touch if you are interested in hearing further details.

The 2018 Jobs Market and 2019 Predictions 

2018 has seen an interesting and varied marketplace for Park with consistent growth in Trust and Funds roles (there are no signs of this slowing down so 2019 will definitely see more roles in these areas)we have seen huge growth in opportunities within the IT/Technology and digital marketing sectors and as the market has improved generally, we see our clients invest in their support functions which has delivered new opportunities within HR, finance, marketing and facilities/administrative support arena.

Additionally, we’ve continued to find graduates and school leavers their first opportunities in financial services. It’s been great to work with the class of 2018!

We predict 2019 will be busy! We are recruiting in a changing world. 

The world of work is rapidly changing and many of the jobs being undertaken today will simply not exist in the near future. At the same time, many new jobs are emerging, driven by the advancement of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and robotics and many organisations  have invested heavily in these new technologies with a view to reducing the human resource required for  some of the more repetitive administrative duties which could open up opportunities for redeployment as well as many new and exciting opportunities within such organisations.

Our clients are not going anywhere. We have seen strong commitment and investment from organisations here in Jersey and they are here to stay! We shall continue to see the Funds sector boom due to new business being won in addition to the trainee positions continuing to present themselves with opportunities for juniors in the data security and project management space.

Temp of the Year

At Park we like to celebrate our temporary workers and we ended 2018 with our usual competition. During December Megan went out to our clients and asked them to vote for the temporary member of staff that they felt excelled in their role, with the chance to win a £150 voucher for the Jersey Pottery Group. The team really enjoyed seeing the feedback and giving the prize winner and the runners up some treats to thank them for their hard work. We consistently have temporary roles available in various projects so if temp work is what you’re after then come chat to us.


We have worked hard to commit to our environment and community with another successful Pub Quiz night for the Special Care Baby Unit and our commitment to Plastic Free Jerseys Business Charter. We have been delighted to share our forever cups with our clients and candidates demonstrating our commitment to moving away from single-use plastic.

Early next year will see us holding a fun event inviting candidates who hold experience within retail, hospitality/travel and beauty who are eager to move into the financial services sector. We will hear from previous candidates who have made the move and will provide information on the benefits and packages you can expect.
