Working for Ogier

[Ogier is on a growth path. The group currently employs 800 professional and support staff in nine jurisdictions around the world (500 of which are based in Jersey) but they’re still on the look out for talented inviduals in Jersey so we thought we would share with you our thoughts on why we believe Ogier are an employer of choice in the island.

Ogier House Awesome is probably the best word to describe the new Ogier premises on the Esplanade. The finished building is impressive; as you walk into the main reception you cannot help but be amazed at the sheer size, architecture and grandour of the building, it really must be a unique place to work. The office space is open plan; offering employees a light and airey working environment, with extensive break out facilities to hold meetings/get away from the desk etc. As well as providing a state of the art environment for staff and clients, the building is the Channel Islands’ largest and greenest single occupancy office development – WOW! Its probably also worth mentioning that staff can also enjoy top quality changing facilities (well those who cycle/run into work anyway!), hair straigteners in the bathrooms, comfortable office chairs (we appreciate that this is really important!), a stylish staff room, and the Terrace! Forget work canteens, Ogier employees can enjoy fresh coffees and an array of tasty food in their fifth floor eatery, which is ran by Delish. Staff members have the choice of sitting inside the trendy and modern café or taking their lunch/holding a meeting outside over looking the whole of St Helier (perfect for topping up the tan!)

Top five! Ogier is a top 5 private sector employer in Jersey. The organisation operates on a global scale but has maintained its head quarters in St Helier. Their aim is to meet the demands of today's global financial institutions and professional advisers whilst still retaining the ability to serve the local communities in the jurisdictions in which they operate. The majority of the Ogier senior executive team are based in the Jersey office and therefore decisions are made locally and staff members interact with the senior management team on a day to day basis.
